Time for an Upgrayde!

Not really time, actually did this like 6 months ago but I've only just got round to posting about it!

Went from this:

Honda NC700X : 51 Horsepower : 218 KG : 70+ MPG

Yamaha MT-09 Tracer: 115 Horsepower : 210 KG : 50+ MPG
https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/motorcycles/sport-touring/tracer-900.aspx?view=featurestechspecs

Daymn the thing is quick compared to the Honda.. To this date I have achieved a maximum of 135 MPH (I'm tall so I knock 10 or 20 off most bike's top end speed). Makes the 30 mile daily commute a pleasure (accept when it's raining). I got it on tick but it'll be paid of in 24 months or so (along with all the other debts if I exercise restraint and don't buy a Henry Golden Boy in .357)!!!

Drool to your hearts content chaps :)

Awesome looking ride there, DB!

How do the storage options compare between the 2 bikes? I've seen reviews for the NC700 where it appears to have a rather big area near the gas tank to store some stuff.

Look like the MT-09 should be good for some long rides, though.

The fuel tank is under the seat in the Honda, the big tank is fake and has a storage hole that's big enough to put a crash helmet in.. That being said it's still only a small space. The Yammy has enough storage space to hold a sandwich. Not one of the pre-packed fuckers either, a nice flat homemade sandwich! I fixed the storage issue recently:

I did a Dover to Birmingham run on it recently (400 miles round trip). Wasn't too bad but it does vibrate a bit. Got a much longer trip to do (1200 miles round trip) in a few weeks, that'll be a real test!

Awesome , do enjoy your ride sir I know I have enjoyed mine in the past , where I live we get 6-7 months of snow and winter with -53 as our current recent record and insurance costs are prohibitive so I have not re biked as it were . I miss it .

The constant is that there is no constant , the universe is dynamic and ever changing , so hence change is the constant.

It makes the daily commute (something that has always caused me major stress) almost enjoyable :)
