Woman charged with sexual assault on teenage boy, lawmen say
A woman visiting Santa Rosa County back in August has been charged with sexual assault, for allegedly coercing a teenage boy to have sex with her.
According to Tina Thomas' arrest report, she volunteered to go to the store and get milk, taking the victim with her.
At some point during the trip, she took him to the Woodlawn Beach Boat Ramp and coerced him into having sex with her. The victim was 16 or 17, according to Thomas' arrest report.
The victim later told authorities that they drove to a portable potty at the boat ramp and Thomas told him she was going to have sex with him. He said he didn't want to, but she replied that if he didn't, she would tell everyone he raped her, the report said.
He did not tell anyone immediately because they were all in forced close contact due to the circumstances of the vacation.
When he got home, the victim told someone what happened and the information was relayed to Thomas' boyfriend.
The victim said Thomas was intoxicated at the time and that he had sex with her for about a minute before walking away. He said she became angry that he stopped before she wanted him to.
He said she'd tried repeatedly to get him to have sex with her, back home and on vacation. She tried to touch him sexually and bared her breasts once while they were swimming, the report said.
Witnesses confirmed the boy's version of the events by relating comments Thomas had made about the boy.
The incidents happened in August but authorities didn't locate Thomas to serve her the warrant until Dec. 30.
She was charged with sexual assault on a victim 16 or 17, a second degree felony.
